Place tape measure under your arms around your back and across the centre of your chest.
Waist
Measure around the narrowest point basically just above your naval keeping the tape slightly loose.
Hips
Measure the widest part of your hip. Make sure you keep your feet together when measuring.

It kept both me and my partner (we had one each) dry throughout the torrential rains of "Drownload" 24 with the pit zips keeping us from becoming stuffy and sweaty, whilst also being packable inside its own pocket when not required.
