Place tape measure under your arms around your back and across the centre of your chest.
Measure around the narrowest point basically just above your naval keeping the tape slightly loose.
Measure the widest part of your hip. Make sure you keep your feet together when measuring.

This is such a cosy body warmer, although VERY large. So if you want a more fitted look then I would size down considerably. The quality is excellent and it really is a lovely extra layer to put on over everything else. I wear it under my raincoat too, which adds extra warmth.
